You don't a willpower problem...

A while back, I did a little experiment.

I logged into Instagram, started scrolling, and made a list of allllll the things I felt like I "should" be doing.

I *should* eat healthier. I *should* exercise. I *should* figure out how to do my hair. I *should* do more crafts with my kids. I *should* be better at talking to my husband...

In almost no time at all, I had a list of 20+ things I wanted to do, learn, or improve at.

These weren't even pushy, shame-y accounts. (I don't follow those.) Just genuinely sweet people sharing their best tips and advice.

Seeing the whole list written out, it was overwhelming.

Nobody could do all of that at once.

But I didn't stop there. I paid attention to commercials, books I was reading, messages I heard at church, comments friends and family made about me or others...

And the list of ways I need to improve just kept getting longer and longer.

Of course, we know that we can't do ALL THE THINGS. But do we really??

After all, how do we choose?

Our faith is IMPORTANT. Our marriages are IMPORTANT. Our kids are IMPORTANT.

It's all so stinking IMPORTANT.

And impossible.

And THAT, my friend, is the real issue.

It's not that you "lack willpower" or "can't stay consistent."

It's that you're trying to cram 36 hours' worth of "shoulds" into a 24 hour day, and then feeling like a failure when it doesn't fit. (I'm the queen of this.)

But God only gave you 24 hours. If you're trying to cram in more than that, some of what you're carrying was never actually yours to carry in the first place.

And that's exactly what we're covering in my free workshop, No More Overwhelm: How to Create Simple Rhythms That Work and Stop Waking Up Behind.

In one hour, we'll figure out what actually deserves your attention in this season (and what doesn't), then use that clarity to build simple rhythms that work.

If you're tired of trying harder at everything and still feeling like you're failing, this will help you stop trying to fit it all in and build a plan around what actually matters instead.

Several years ago, I decided I wanted to get in the habit of reading the Bible with my kids. And lets just say... it was not going according to plan. Before I could read a word, my son RAN from the room, curled up in a corner, covered his ears, and started humming loudly so he couldn't hear me. "No! The Bible is boring!" Ignoring his overly dramatic, attention-seeking antics, I read a chapter of Acts out loud anyway. Each morning, I'd read one chapter, explaining as I went. Until one morning...

What if you woke up tomorrow and somehow had plenty of time for everything that matters most to you? You could start your day in prayer and Scripture, hit the gym for a sweaty workout, write in your gratitude journal, and/or enjoy a delicious, healthy breakfast. You could spend hours on work that's meaningful, where you feel capable and confident you're making a real difference. You could spend time making memories with the people who matter most to you. You could pursue the hobbies that...

Have you ever sat in a Bible study, listened to everyone else share their thoughts, and quietly wondered how they got allllllll of that out of the same verses you just read? Someone points out a connection you completely missed. Another woman has three cross-references ready to go. Someone else says, "I just love how this verse shows..." And you're sitting there thinking: "Wait... how did you guys see all of that?" So you nod along. You jot down what everyone else says. And somewhere in the...
